I wrote this story in the summer of 2025. "A Little Girl's Guide to Grief" is based on my own personal experiences and explores the struggles and complexities of being a child of divorced parents. Through this story I hoped to convey the pain that children continue to experience long after their parent's divorce is finalized. After being accepted as a finalist for Skyway I was proud to accept the 3rd place non-fiction award at the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference. Soon to be published in Horizons' 2026 volume.
