Based on SoundCloud, BreadBxi (pronounced /BreadBoi/) is a producer based in Baltimore, Maryland, United States who's been making experimental dark electronic & trap beats with deep 808s on GarageBand iOS for fun since December 2024.

BreadBxi is on a journey to see if it is possible to produce music completely for free; and he's already made it this far with a $0 budget & an iPhone.

His catalog almost entirely resides on SoundCloud, YouTube, and audiomack but is very slowly making its way toward major streaming platforms.

BreadBxi takes pride in his work being 100% organic, 0% slop.

What DAW do you use?

I make my music in GarageBand iOS (that's right, iPhone) because that's just what I've gotten used to.

How do you make your cover art?

Cover art designed in Google Slides, sometimes Canva, and sometimes taken from Unsplash.

How do you make your visualizers?

Visualizers made using Vibely, a free app on iOS devices that is super easy to use and quick to learn.

Why did you choose the name "BreadBxi"?

I wanted something clever and unique. Originally, I didn't really have a plan for my YouTube channel, maybe gameplay videos. I wanted a silly, possibly food-related name but because my real name is Brian, I also wanted something that started with the same "Br-" sound. Thus, BreadGaming64 was born (64 is my favorite number and is a stack of items in Minecraft).

Later on, I decided I wanted a name that was more general, not specific to gaming. So, I rebranded to BreadBoy64, no, BreadBoi64 'cuz I wanted it to be less serious. On Twitch, BreadBoi64 was already taken. So I made an exception to my univeral handle, 64BreadBoi, which I didn't like.

On Twitter, the same thing happened but I had an idea. You see, I listen to a lot of drift phonk music and there's a very common stylistic choice to replace O's and other vowels in names with X's (e.g. SHADOWBORN to SHADXWBXRN). I tested several variations but ultimately, one x was the best.
