BACKGROUND & PURPOSES 李謀偉科學論壇 背景/ 目的
An all-English speaking science symposium is designed in Taiwan by LCY Education Foundation since early 2018, to encourage the prestigious international scientists and Taiwan young scientists including the professors, post-docs and Ph.D. or MS graduate students, under a pressure-free w/ stimulating environment, to present and exchange their research in chemistry. It can also help them building their informal networks for a lifetime of collaboration. To create an open discussion environment, each participant agrees that any information presented at this conference is not for public use.
The BRC program held regularly every year has a long-term brandname/ vision of "From Chemistry to Material Design" with focuses varied, probably every year.

LCY Education Foundation( 財團法人李長榮教育基金會), a non-profit organization in Taiwan, has been dedicated to empower young talents and upgrade chemical academia research for Taiwan’s chemical industry. The Foundation has developed a number of programs, such as the Student Scholarship of Team-building, Young Professors of Excellence Award and other chemical related workshops.
Bowei Research Conference (BRC), a first kind annual workshop program designed in Taiwan, has the lectures delivered in the morning and evening with retreat activity in the afternoon. Its purpose is to encourage the prestigious young scientists under a pressure-free w/ stimulating environment, to present and exchange their research in chemistry. It can help attendees building their informal networks for a lifetime of collaboration applying their research to advance the quality and convenience of human being livelihood.
LCY Education Foundation is currently developing its own vision, missions and website based on its inherited four core values from the LCY Group: Integrity, Innovation, Teamwork and Accountable Leadership. The Foundation will continue to provide the resources to young talents not only creating Taiwan’s future strong global chemical competitiveness but also promoting the positive image of chemical industry in Taiwan’s public.
