History

You may be wondering why our email is EoTPStoryTeller and not something reminiscent of Brave New Midnight. That is because over the course of our history we have gone through a name change. Elysium on the Prairie is a name that may be familiar to some players that have been interested in the game for a long time. You might even recognize this site.

The group has been around in some form or another since the 90’s and was one of the many Vampire the Masquerade games that was in the national circuit at the time. There used to be games all over the nation that you could pop in on with your character to play and gain experience. Here's a blast from the past.

Now we are Brave New Midnight and we welcome you to join our game.

We have players of all experience levels from novice to intermediate and everything in between. You can learn on the fly and discover the deep (and sometimes confusing) lore of Vampire the Masquerade.

This game has gone through several iterations and sometimes has conflicting backstory because of it. We use a mix of everything to create a fulfilling story. The main focus of this game is the 20th edition, otherwise known as V20 as this is the prevailing LARP edition of the game at current. We will occasionally borrow elements from V5 but only small things as that is a table top version and is not fully compatible with what we do.

Up until around 2019 this game played the version of the game known as Vampire the Requiem, which has similar lore and information but also several clans and systems that did not transfer over to the Masquerade editions. The change was voted upon in an attempt to garner an increased player base and it seems the decision was a good one.
