My primary focus is to rationally design new materials for sustainability - targeting applications that saves energy - with focus on membranes, adsorbents and catalysts. To accomplish this goal, I wish to take advantage of atomic precision material fabrication capabilities of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD).
During my graduate studies, I have developed (1) a new class of amorphous metal organic network materials and (2) flexible, tunable oscillating micro-porous crystalline material.
My current research focus at Argonne is functional material synthesis for separation and catalysis using atomic layer deposition (ALD), with primary focus on developing anti-fouling membranes.
Apart from this, I have extensively worked on (i) facilitated transport membranes for carbon capture and (ii) membranes fabrication using 2D materials
