Randall County Sheriff's Office App

The project was to bring the RCSO up to date with more than just a web presence. The application would help the residents find information about the agency whether online or with the phone in hand.

At the Randall County Sheriff's Office, I developed and implemented strategic communication initiatives to increase community engagement and awareness. I created a variety of channels to communicate with the public, including a website, social media pages, and a newsletter. I also coordinated public events, such as the annual National Night Out and the Citizens' Academy. These initiatives helped to build trust between the sheriff's office and the community, and they also helped to keep the community informed about crime prevention and safety tips.

Sheriff App receiving sms NWS Alerts

This app had many features that will allow residents to stay connected with the Randall County Sheriff’s Office. Users could receive alerts on emergency notifications, breaking news events, road closures, and more. In addition, users can communicate with the Sheriff’s Office by submitting a confidential crime tip, view inmates that are booked in the correctional facility, post bail, and explore some of the many programs and services that are available through the Sheriff’s Office.
The goal of creating this app is to provide a public outreach platform that allows residents and visitors to connect with the Randall County Sheriff’s Office.
More than 27,000 downloads in the first month and a 2% growth each month continuing. Usage statics and analysis show that 53% of the users open the app on a daily basis. During crisis communication, there was 89% usage of the app.
