This website was compiled by Even Dankowicz during 2017–2018. The site is no longer actively maintained.
This product would not be possible without the help of many individuals: professors and colleagues who shared various species and their natural history, individuals on BugGuide or iNaturalist who made identifications, and everyone else.
In this product, we've only yet skimmed the surface of the local biodiversity--observation of summer-emergent organisms has been especially sparse. If you spend enough time, you are likely to find a type of organism not yet in this guide.
Even Dankowicz (plants, fungi, and invertebrates, some others) and David Chernack (birds) assembled the core of the project species list through personal observations. Observations from iNaturalist, particularly the Brandeis University Biodiversity project, were also incorporated. The last updates were in 2017 or early 2018.
When not by the observers, identifications were made by professors and members of the online naturalist community.
