Over a thousand species visible to the naked eye have been recorded at Brandeis, and there are many more to be found. This project assembles visible campus biodiversity in a way that beginners and experts alike can hopefully learn from and enjoy.

The Species Gallery presents a gallery of animals, plants, fungi, and other species found on campus and in Sachar Woods.

The Local Habitats page introduces different areas which one can explore.

The Identification page discusses how to identify organisms found on campus.

As of January 2019, 1132 species were represented in the Species Gallery, representing almost all common species. Between other identification resources and iNaturalist's improved species counts since this project began, further updates to this site have been discontinued.
