Workshop announcements and Keynote
Keynote speaker: Giuseppe Destefanis, Associate Professor at Brunel University London, London, United Kingdom
Keynote title: Complex Systems Oriented Approach for dApps Analysis
The talk will explore the integration of complex systems theory into the analysis of decentralised applications (dApps) on the Ethereum ecosystem, with a focus on a Uniswap-like dApp as a case study. This dynamic marketplace for cryptocurrency exchanges, perfectly illustrates the principles of complex systems through its characteristics of interconnectedness, diversity, adaptability, emergent behaviour, non-linearity, and dynamic responsiveness. Highlighting its ability to exist in multiple equilibrium states and react swiftly to market changes, the presentation will underline the value of a complex systems-oriented approach in analysing the operational dynamics of dApps. By adopting this perspective, the talk aims to discuss our understanding of the blockchain ecosystem's architecture, encouraging advancements in dApp development, analysis, and governance.
Lunch break:
