Ensuring SOP compliance and workflow sign-offs.
The SOP is defined and established out of the managements’ knowledge base in running of the business. A common issue faced by managers is ensuring the team members follow the standard operating procedures and that deviations when necessitated are allowed only after due approval at the appropriate level in the organization hierarchy.
Operational activities in running a business involves number of work-flow steps being carried out by different members of the staff or contractors at times involving audit/inspection and approval before it is passed on to the next stage in the work-flow.
Work-flow steps have to be flexible to enable quick changes as and when the requirement change to take care of market needs, technology change or from experience.
The BPMS program allows for creation of work-flow for each operational activity in the running of the business with facility to assign a predefined ‘role’ for action, audit and approval based on financial value limit; a standard TAT (turn-around time) can be specified for each stage to evaluate performance. The work-flow can be edited, as and when warranted, only by authorized users. Digital sign-off is enforced by passing on the task to the next step in the work-flow only after it has been checked and approved as defined.
