Grants Program
The BNB Thrift Shop generates income through the sale of donated items in order to provide Community Grants to organizations that benefit Fort Liberty and the surrounding communities.
Community Grants cycles are run on a bi-annual basis, March and October, starting on the first of the month and ending on the last day of the month. In order to be considered, applications must be submitted by March 31, 2023 and October 31, 2023.

All applicants will be notified by April 10, 2023 and November 17, 2023. Please provide both the email and physical address where you wish to be notified. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
GRANT REQUEST GUIDELINES
We cannot fund grant requests for:
Funding of an organization’s own scholarships, grants or any type of third-party distribution of funds.
Funding of anything that might be considered a gift or donation from your organization to an individual/third party.
Funding for an organization's fundraising costs.
Funding for individuals. (checks will only be written out to an organization, not to individuals.)
Requests without itemized cost breakdowns, 2-3 quotes, past cost examples, etc. If this cannot be provided, applicants must thoroughly explain why.
Funding for any part of organizational salaries/wages.
Organizations that prohibit local chapters from applying for grants independently from their parent organization (such as Boy and Girl Scouts of America and their affiliates) are not eligible to apply for funding through this program.
Funding for the purchase of alcohol.
Requests that cannot be legally made by an organization.
Funding that will not be used for the intended purpose within 60 days of being awarded the grant funds. *Exceptions must be coordinated with the BNB Thrift Shop Community Outreach Grant Committee and are considered on a case-by-case basis.
