studio rules

STUDIO RULES 

• All students must be correctly dressed in clean studio regulation leotards, pink tights and shoes. Comfortable clothes are permitted for within the contemporary classes.  No jewellery including watches may be worn in class as this can cause a hazard while moving. 

• Students may not appear in public in ballet kit, and must wear ordinary clothes over ballet kit when arriving and leaving the studiol.

• Hair must be in a neat ballet bun – hair nets to match hair colour. If hair is short an Alice band must be worn to keep hair off the face. Free hair will only be permitted in the contemporary dance classes 

• Students must be on time for classes – latecomers will not be allowed into class. (unless prior arrangements have been made)

• Students must be fetched promptly after class.

• If a student is unable to attend a class, kindly telephone/message/WhatsApp  to excuse her . Please ensure to send doctors note or valid reason for absence from class.

• All fees are payable by no later than 7th of each month.

• If paying by EFT. proof of payment must be returned each month. Please do not make cash deposits into the bank accounts. FULL NAME AND SURNAME MUST BE GIVEN AS A REFERENCE.

• ONE FULL CALENDAR MONTH'S NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL MUST BE GIVEN IN WRITING. VERBAL OR TELEPHONIC NOTICE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, AND FEES FOR THE NOTICE MONTH MUST BE PAID.  FEES WILL CONTINUE TO BE CHARGED UNTIL SUCH NOTICE IS RECEIVED.THIS WILL ALSO INCLUDE THE NOTICE PERIOD.

• All students will be assessed on a termly basis, taking into account both behavior and progress. If the standard is not upheld tuition will be terminated.

• Students are to respect their teachers, the studio parents and each other.

• Students who miss more than 15 lessons during the year will NOT be eligible for examinations/castings

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT DISCIPLINE IS THE BASIS OF A GOOD DANCE TRAINING.
