Designed to aid local quinoa farmers in Peru and Bolivia, this machine reduces the manual washing of quinoa from 1 hour down to 10 minutes. Verified by PROINPA (a Bolivian quinoa research center) to remove the saponin layer without damaging the grain, this device was implemented across Bolivia and was awarded a $20,000 donation by Yapay Bolivia to fund additional machines.
