10 grillers competed in the "Chopped" style contest and prepared amazing meals. Each contestant was given a mystery basket of ingredients that they had to use to prepare a meal for the judges. The baskets contained the following: steak, zucchini, beer, Cheetos, kale, and a baguette.
Contestants had 45 minutes to prepare and plate their meals. Each contestant made two plates; one for the judges inspection and the other was auctioned off to the audience.
The top 3 contestants won exciting prize packages that were donated by our generous sponsors; Laura Marshall and Family, Mount Sunapee Resort, Market Basket, Simon Pearce, NH Fishercats, and The Appleseed Restaurant.
Our big winner of the night was the amazing grilling duo from Hopewell Farm. They created a plate that had an appetizer, entree and desert! Their winning creation will be featured at the Appleseed Restaurant. Stay tuned and we will let you know their dish arrives at the Appleseed.
