My name is Kasha Brackett, and I am honored to announce my candidacy for the Revere Local Schools Board of Education.  I live in Bath Township with my husband Dan, and our three children - Evie, Eli, and Amelia.

Having personally experienced the profound impact of an exceptional public education, I recognize the crucial role it plays in shaping future personal success. After attending public grade school, I continued my education at The Ohio State University where I graduated with a B.S. in psychology, focusing my study on child development.

When our family relocated to the Akron area in 2015, we deliberately chose Revere for its outstanding reputation for high-quality public schools. Education has always been a focal point of my journey. In 2015, I embarked on a rewarding career in the educational realm. Beginning as a substitute teacher exclusively within Revere schools, the following year, I accepted a full-time position within the district. I spent my first three years teaching Computer Education classes at Hillcrest Elementary. In 2019, I split time between  Bath Elementary where I taught Library Education, and Richfield where I taught Makerspace. I spent my final three years as the STEM educator at Richfield Elementary. Fostering a growth mindset and teaching skills that students can transfer to every future life challenge was a profound joy and a genuine honor in my life.

While my time in education was undoubtedly my most fulfilling professional role, I have had a varied career path that has given me a broad scope of experiences. After graduating from OSU, I was hired by Nationwide Financial to work in the retirement investments sector. I was with Nationwide for ten years with various roles that included back-office operations, product sales, and client management.  Presently, I serve as the Executive Assistant for Bath Township, contributing to the administration of various aspects of local government and gaining valuable insights into legal processes relevant to public entities.

My varied career path in addition to my experiences as a student, parent, and educator in public education, has given me a broad perspective and a deep understanding of the vital factors that underpin a successful educational system. Drawing on my experiences will help me to ensure the continuous enhancement of Revere Local Schools. Together, with the support of the community, faculty, and fellow board members, I will strive to provide an exceptional educational environment that fosters growth, empowers students, and prepares them for the challenges ahead.

Thank you for considering my candidacy. I look forward to collaborating with you to build a brighter future for Revere Local Schools.
