Alleyway Activation & Improvement

Ideas for Pacific Beach:

• Active alleyway event - select alleyway in PB for neighborhood dinner (see this)

• Possible ‘Alleyway Mural themes’, such as 

  • Local Artist Commissioned Murals (such as Jon’s ‘John Lennon’ Mural on Cass Street/ Dawes Street/ Felspar Street/ Garnet Ave), vs. 

  • Non-Local Artist Commissioned Murals, including muralists and/ or artists from other places outside San Diego, and/ or

  • Community Murals that involve school groups, kids and various community members helping a muralist put up artwork or mural, etc., perhaps partnerships with the 

  • San Diego Audubon Society Murals, like the alleyway between Cass Street/ Dawes Street/ Emerald Street / Felspar Street, and/ or any other ideas for  ‘bird and other indigenous animal life’, perhaps even

  • PB Arts Collective for the new Pacific Beach Arts & Culture District, possible pop up if not permanent outdoor art gallery alleys, and festival-themed alleys that can pop up in the new Arts & Culture district for events in that area, or outdoor galleries/ fairs/ events/ artist sales etc.,

  • or other ideas to be discussed/ shared
