Some time ago I wrote a post about my boxing timer. This is a professional timer for training and sparring. You really liked my work and the functions that this timer has. I have received a lot of positive feedback from you, and for that I am very grateful to you. You inspired me! Many wrote in the comments and in private messages to me that they would like to see the ios version, since this timer was originally made for android. I promised you that I would make an ios version and just a couple of days ago I finished work and published a version for ios. I didn't plan to do this, but you inspired me. Thank you! Now you can use ios version and enjoy

Gymboss Timers are programmable interval timers perfect for timing a single interval, or multiple intervals, and repeating them once or as many times as you wish. The interval timer mode allows timing of any one interval, or two different intervals insequence. These intervals can then be repeated once, or as many times as you select, up to 99 times.

When I first got the timer, I was teaching outdoor Nike Training Club Live classes in Victoria Park, amongst others. I hit up Victoria Park and I think everyone was secretly pleased to see I had a method of keeping track of time.

As soon as they heard the beep to signal the end of each 20 second section of Tabata they stopped by themselves! I loved using the interval timer as it took just a minute or so to set up once I got the hang of it.

My goal was to re-create the timers found in our local Front Range Boxing Academy. At the gym, a common boxing timer is used and the bulbs keep burning out. That is unacceptable in this day in age with LEDs lasting at least 30 times longer than regular incandescent bulbs. These common boxing timers are also expensive ($99)!

The Boxing Timer Pro allows you to customize the length of your rounds, rest time and warnings. The app allows you to then save your settings as a preset. Other settings you can tweak are the sounds for all of those from their library of boxing sound effects.

I love this all written out in steps. I used to use a remote before you shared more about the interval timer with me. I absolutely love it. Its so much easier to be natural behind the camera. Thank you for sharing, Megan!! Love your selfies!

The round timer can provide meticulously adjustable training session management. Providing you the ability to control the duration of each round, as well as how many rounds, and dividing rounds into cycles while managing different rest times, easily programmable before each session.

If you've ever seen a boxing match, you know that two people 'box' each other in rounds. To train, boxers use a timer on the same time base as a fight so that their bodies get used to 3 minutes of boxing and 1 minute of rest, during a bout.

The timing function is great and simple and ideal for intervals. Just one additional thing to make this even better. When selecting minutes it allows you to do it in increments of 1. But when selecting seconds you can only select in units of 10. If they were both able to adjusted by increments of 1 then you will have the full flexibility of the timer. Thanks

The Gymboss app comes with several preset timers, including Tabata, a twenty sets in thirty minutes timer, a one minute timer for between sets, and a boxing timer. These are fairly straightforward and give you an idea of the functionality of the app. There is also a simple stopwatch, though given the functionality of most smart phones, that addition is a little unnecessary.

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It uses a kitchen timer to break work into intervals, typically 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. Each interval is known as a Pomodoro, from the Italian word for tomato, after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer Cirillo used as a university student.

I'm creating an app which works as a boxing timer, counting rounds and playing a sound at the end of each. The problem is that NSTimer stops when the app enters background mode. There are some boxing timers in the app store, so i'm shore there is some way that can be implemented. 2351a5e196
