About the Boxes

I love working with wood. As I began to make boxes, I realized that the knots and grain are unique and create an artistic value to each piece. Working with cherry, hickory, maple, walnut, oak and cedar, each material has a special quality. I use the live edges as handles to open the boxes and the knots or grain define the edge profile. Combining woods for their colors is also fun. No two boxes are alike because I have no patterns and each dimension and proportion are different. I hope you enjoy these boxes as much as I enjoy making them.
