Nala is a 2 year old bilateral rear leg amputee Boxer. She came from a rescue in Kentucky. About 2 weeks after Mellie past away,  I received a message about Nala still needing a home. I knew about her about 6 months before and thought she had been adopted. With a little soul searching,  we knew she needed us. So even though we live in Washington state,  I contacted the rescue and the process began on figuring out how to get her to us. Final result,  we drove halfway across the states and the fosters drove halfway across the states.  On June 15th  2022 Nala found her forever home with .us.

Nala had what is known as a step up spine, while in the rescue she went through several surgeries (including her amputations). Once we got her home,  we set up a vet appointment.  The vets did a head to tail exam ( including x-rays) . The recommendation was for physical therapy,  of which we did. Nala loved her therapist and doing her therapy.

Nala loves to travel with us.  She loves playing fetch and going to the beach ( of course she has to find the biggest stick).

Just as Mellie did, she reinforces that pups with disabilities can have a happy life.
