The Basecamp
Welcome to The Basecamp! This is a welcoming, Christ-centered space where teens from all denominations can come together, grow in their faith, and experience the joy of community. Rooted in the historic grounds of Bowman Park Camp—a place where believers have gathered since 1891—we will carry forward that legacy with a fresh vision for today’s youth.
The Basecamp is designed to support youth and youth leaders by offering gatherings that are grounded in God’s Word, filled with worship, and rich in connection. Whether you’re an established youth group or a solo teen looking to build connection with other youth, we’d be honored to host you.
Here’s what you can expect:
Faithful Teaching from Scripture, shared clearly and with conviction
Worship that lifts hearts toward Jesus
Meaningful Recreation that builds joy and connection
No Planning Required— youth leaders, just bring your students and be present with them
The Basecamp is designed to be a place where students feel seen, supported, and reminded that they’re part of something bigger—a network of believers who stand together on the truth of God’s Word.

When is The Basecamp?
The Basecamp is hosted every other month beginning in September and ending in May. The event is scheduled for a full Saturday.
Where is The Basecamp hosted?
The Basecamp is a ministry through Bowman Park Camp and is hosted on the campground located at 220 Lime Street Palmerton, PA. The parking lot can be accessed on Ore or Hamilton Street.
How much does it cost to attend The Basecamp and where do I pay?
$15 per person- payment is only accepted through our online payment portal.
Is lunch included?
Yes!
Do I need to pre-register? Can I assume my registration reserved my spot?
Yes! Pre-registration is required. Registration closes 1 week prior to the event or when capacity is reached. Due to limited space, you will receive an email confirming your space. If we are unable to accommodate you for the date you are requesting, we will try to work with you for the next date.
When does registration open?
Registration for the next date will open the Monday after the preceding event.
Is this open to youth group leaders?
Yes! This ministry was created in part to give youth leaders an opportunity to spend time with their youth without having to also make the plans. Please include yourself on your youth group’s group registration.
Do I have to be in a youth group to attend?
No! Just have your parent or guardian complete the individual registration form. This ministry was created in part to connect Christian teens who are seeking fellowship with other youth.
What should I bring to The Basecamp?
The Basecamp is hosted on a campground. While we have indoor facilities, we will also be outside. You must dress for the weather! Please wear clothes appropriate for playing games. Sneakers or other shoes with laces are strongly encouraged.
We also encourage you to bring your Bible and a refillable water bottle.
