I am looking for motivated Master's and PhD students. If you are interested in working under my supervision, please indicate this in your application. If you cannot find my name on the list of potential supervisors, simply mention your interest in working with me somewhere in your application materials.
I do not have strict requirements regarding your academic background, but I expect you to have a solid foundation in mathematics, including basic calculus, linear algebra, probability, and statistics. You also do not need to worry too much about whether your previous studies/projects align closely with my current research interests.
The world is changing rapidly, and I believe that the most important qualities for a researcher are the ability to learn new things quickly, adapt to new challenges, and remain curious. After all, even I cannot predict what I will be working on a year from now, or perhaps even a few months from now. What matters most to me is your willingness and ability to learn, explore, and grow.
Please refer to https://www.ualberta.ca/en/mathematical-and-statistical-sciences/graduate-studies/funding.html for funding information.
Due to the large volume of inquiries I receive, I may not be able to respond to every email. I will generally only respond to questions that are not already addressed on my website.
