Bowen Xie is a tenure-track Assistant Professor from the Department of Mathematics in the College of Engineering and Polymer Science at The University of Akron (Uakron). Before joining Uakron, he spent two years as a Postdoctoral Lecturer in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU). He mainly worked on Market Making problems and especially, the Dynamics of the Limit Order Book (LOB) with his mentor, Dr. José E. Figueroa-López. He earned his Ph.D. in the Department of Mathematics from Iowa State University (ISU) in 2022 and was advised by Dr. Ananda Weerasinghe on Queueing Theory and Stochastic Control. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from ISU.
