Our Mission is to provide a safe, positive learning environment to prepare our players for future success, both on and off the court, so that they may reach their full potential as athletes and leaders through basketball. Our volunteer coaches collectively have more than a hundred years of basketball experience and knowledge to help foster an elite opportunity for the players to succeed. Fundamentally skilled players are a result of coaching that provides prompt and meaningful guidance and feedback to the players. This will encourage self-confidence and individual setting and fulfilment of their goals.
Being a great teammate goes beyond sport. The ability to communicate, strategize, adapt, empathize, lead, motivate and pick someone else up translates to EVERY AREA OF LIFE. If you only do one thing right in sports, be an UNSELFISH TEAMMATE
Upon reaching high school most kids have never completed elite fundamental training, with the majority only participating in house league or school yard basketball. Compounding the problem is the lack of credible coaches willing to invest the time into the development phase to foster growth. This leaves young athletes at a huge disadvantage with a void of the basics and quality training.
The basketball landscape of today has shown significant challenges with an increasing shift toward individualism over team concepts and development. This “highlight culture” causes players to internalize the pressure of replicating flashy plays, leading to discouragement when they cannot perform as seen online. This creates a disconnect between developing foundational skills and the pursuit of viral moments. This illustrates the gap between perception and skill development – the highlights overshadow the essential development of basics necessary for long term success.
Trust in oneself and one's abilities, rather than succumbing to anxiety or doubt, to overcome challenges and achieve goals. Build confidence and push through obstacles with resilience and determination.
Make it matter - take responsibility for actions and outcomes, focus on improving performance rather than blaming external factors or teammates, and learning from mistakes to build a stronger, more resilient mindset.
Clarifying expectations, reducing misunderstandings, and promoting understanding and respect, ultimately leads to better outcomes
