Monica has wanted to be a therapist since she was a teenager. But like so many, life can put up some roadblocks and slow things down. Monica brings humor, life experience, empathy, and clarity into her work with clients. Above all, Monica wants to see others succeed and live their best life. Monica has a background in working with those inflicted with trauma (big or small), caregiver burnout, depression, anxiety, and life fatigue. Monica believes everyone can be a hero in their own lives, they just need the right support and tools in order to reach their max potential.
Monica provides a safe place to explore, process, and grow in your ability to bounce back from life challenges. Her use of humor, grace, and acceptance of others help clients to feel comfortable to open up about their challenges, allowing them to move forward.
When Monica is not at work she is spending time with her 3 goldendoodles, and her son. Monica enjoys gardening, exploring Colorado, refurbishing furniture, visiting with friends and family, cooking while dancing in the kitchen and teaching her children how good the music used to be.
Monica is excited to walk with you on your journey to self discovery, healing, wellness, and peace.

Hey, I’m Jenni Vargas, a compassionate, and genuine new therapist dedicated to helping individuals improve in areas in need of growth and healing. With so many of us struggling with our mental health and very few helping us improve, I’ve developed a great passion for counseling and being a source of assistance.
I take a holistic approach to healing, keeping mind, body, and spirit in our work together. I practice evidence-based techniques with a person-centered approach focused on your needs and wants in your healing journey. Together, we will explore your strengths, navigate challenges, and develop a path leading to true growth.
Whether you are coping with anxiety or depression, relationship issues, or major life transitions, I’m here to advocate for your progress in those difficult areas. I honor diversity and respect individual backgrounds, LGBTQ+ affirming with multicultural competency.
Adam Heath, BA, Intern Therapist
My name is Adam Heath, and I have been a proud resident of Mesa County for over 40 years. I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology and am currently pursuing my master's degree in counseling. My passion for psychology began during my undergraduate studies, and that same enthusiasm continues to guide my professional journey as I work to help others discover and reach their full potential.
I bring a strong skill set that includes case management, motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and the development and education of life skills in both individual and group settings. My approach is deeply rooted in empathy, shaped not only by my academic background but also by my own life experiences. Having lived through significant personal trauma, I understand the value of compassionate support and strive to offer the same kind of help that once made a difference in my own life.
Outside of my professional work, I have practiced martial arts for over 10 years. I enjoy biking during the warmer months, snowboarding in the winter, watching movies, spending time with my cats, and playing video games. These activities keep me grounded and balanced, reinforcing the importance of self-care—a message I also share with the individuals I support.
I am committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of others through understanding, support, and genuine connection.
