The site of the Boulder Town Cemetery was originally US Forest Service land. The first burial was an infant in 1899. The towns people fenced the main quad area in the late 1920's. A USFS land exchange put the property briefly in private ownership, it was then deeded to the Boulder LDS Ward and in 1999 was deeded to the town.
