Personal
This section is very much a work in progress.
Wondering what I look like? After polling friends and enemies (friends-only polls are obviously biased), this shot seems to be the most realistic.
(The new version of google sites has disabled my picture. It is unclear whether the image of me was simply too objectionable.)
Until I can come up with something better, here are some profound quotes that can help guide everyone toward success. Hopefully this list will grow over time. The sources of quotes are purposely held back, since they might detract from the profoundness. If you're really curious about one, email me!
Generally applicable:
``Whatever you do in life, don't be unpopular."
``Fight with your strengths as they are, not as you wish them to be.''
``Never despair, but if you do, work on in despair."
``If it was easy to be awesome, everyone would be awesome.''
``Life is fundamentally unfair. It takes real talent to make unfair seem cool."
``Every day without rain brings the rain one day closer.''
``You should always save hyperbole until you really need it.''
``A day can really slip by when you're deliberately avoiding what you're supposed to do.''
``Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing--if that long--so be careful what you get good at.''
``We all want meaningful lives. We look for meaning in everything we do. But suppose there is no meaning. Suppose life is fundamentally absurd. Suppose there's no reason, or truth, or rightness in anything. What if nothing means anything? What if nothing really matters?''
``Or suppose everything matters.''
``If I could start over I'd just end up making different mistakes than I made the first time.''
Somewhat esoteric:
``More often than not I've observed that convenient approximations bring you closest to comprehending the true nature of things.''
``If you can't say something bad about a relationship, you shouldn't say anything at all!''
``Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.''
``The true test of one's mettle is being good when one has an innate inclination towards evil.''
``The human mind gets used to strangeness very quickly if it does not exhibit interesting behavior.''
``The body is very forgiving. The brain is nothing to play with. Bread is the enemy.''
``Creativity without discipline is just so many wasted good ideas, while discipline without creativity is just calcified emptiness.''
"I win again, Lews Therin."
"Dude, are you being sarcastic?"
"I don't even know anymore"

This list will surely grow over time. Unless...
Some advice on life and time travel:
Do not start watching anime clips on YouTube.
Take the PANTS approach: ``People All Need to See.'' You've got to conquer that hill. The hill is a metaphor. Everything is a metaphor. You are literally a metaphor.
