NAME
The club is called “Bangladesh Open University Computer Club (BOUCC)”.
THE CLUB, BOUCC
The Computer Club of Bangladesh Open University is a student organization founded in 2021 with the intension of providing everything students need to explore their ideas, develop new skills related to the field of Computer Science and Engineering. We also help in building confidence in students with the help of various programs. This Club consists of computer enthusiasts and technically minded hobbyists as the executive members. The main vision of the club is to expose the students to the latest advancements in computer technology and give individuals an opportunity for sharing and extending ideas, views and knowledge in the field of computers and fast changing technology.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
To provide computer and computerized device knowledge and mentored trainings.
To provide centralized association management services to organize technical and professional programs in the University.
To nurture the minds of student towards creativity and steer and their talents towards high quality research in different areas of Computer Engineering and Technology.
To make the student able converts theoretical knowledge in practical work.
To let our students to excel in the area of computers and cognitive sciences and produce high quality engineers having self confidence in nation.
To develop fellowship between the students of our University along with the development of mutual understanding.
To provide a forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest that includes everything related to computer technology.
To enhance the professional development of our students, and networking among technical professionals.

RIGHTS AND LIABILITIES OF MEMBERS
All the General members are bound to abide by all the rules of BOU CSE department as well as BOUCC.
They have to maintain club’s regulation.
They are requested to attend all the events.
They have to volunteer in all the events if asked by the event’s coordinator.
They should not indulge into some task that will bring shame for BOU as well as BOUCC.
They should not use club’s name or BOU’s name for their personal gain or in business.
If they want to use or represent BOUCC in some events that must be informed to president beforehand.
All the members must attend the general meeting.
Members with probation in BOU will be counted as non-member until they get out of probation and they are requested not to participate in any events for their betterment.
All the members must do the volunteer jobs for all the events, if there are problems must be informed to the coordinator.
QUALIFICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to any students from Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department of Bangladesh Open University who shares the aims of the Club and agrees to comply with the Constitution and rules of the Club.
All members must provide valid information while the registering for the club.
PROPOSAL OF CANDIDATES FOR MEMBERSHIP
Every candidate for membership of the club must be proposed by one member of the club and seconded by one other members of the club all of whom must be personally acquainted with the candidate and must vouch for his/her fitness for membership.
Proposals must be on the forms, paper or online, provided by the Club and must be signed by the proposer.
The candidate must sign a form of application for membership giving all particulars required by the Club with an undertaking to be bound by all the rules and bylaws of the club if elected.
ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION/ENTRANCE FEE
Every member have to pay annual subscription/entrance fee for membership, which will be fixed by the governing body.
The Committee from time to time at their discretion can discount membership fees in the case of individual financial hardship.
HONORARY MEMBERSHIP
Honorary members may be elected by a two-third majority of those present.
Honorary members may be elected for life or for nay period the committee deems expedient.
Honorary members are entitled to all the privileges of membership.
Honorary members are exempt from any liability to pay any entrance fee or subscription fee.
MEMBERSHIP TERMINATION
If any members found breaking the rules and regulation of BOU or BOUCC, they will be dismissed from the club immediately.
Members will be dismissed if they miss three general meetings.
Members will be dismissed if they misbehave with each other or with any members or with any of the executive members.
Members who will cause any problem during any events will be dealt strictly.
RESIGNATION OF MEMBERS
A member may resign his/her membership at any time by informing the President/Vice-President/General Secretary.
TRANSFERRING MEMBERSHIP
Membership can’t be transferred to any other person.
ELECTION
If any position on the Committee becomes vacant then the Committee shall call a General Meeting for the election of a member to that position.
OTHERS
When there is task to be done, the assigned person doing that task is responsible for what he has done is doing and should hand over in the completed task to the President / GS / Coordinator / Asst. Coordinator by the deadline. Failure in doing so, will result in problems or delay to the event. It is advised to cooperate with one another when someone ask you for help, because you might need that person in the future for carrying out events proposed by / assigned to you.
All members should unite as one in order to get the best output for a particular event.
When there is a problem / task to be done, executive members should help each other out.
It is advised that if we want to improve on the well-being and reputation of programming club, we should unite as one family and commit to the club events and everything else.
If you are assigned to do a task, and you do not know what to do for that task, you should go back and ask the person who assign you the task and clarify what needs to be done for that task.
Failure in doing so will result in work not done and thus slowing down the whole process of preparation for the event.
The person who assigns the task will think that you have done the assigned task and when he finds out that you did not do it, this will in turn result in conflicts and may affect your reputation of the position you are holding in the committee.
The person assigning the task should always check on the process of the task to be done periodically. You have the right to push that volunteer of yours to do the task in a faster rate.
If you are assigned to do a task, and have finish doing it, you should take up the initiative to help those who have not finish doing it in order to speed up the process of preparation for the event.
Committee members should provide their full support and help in events if there is anything requested by the Coordinator / Asst. Coordinator to be done.
