MEET SOME OF THE GREAT GUEST INSTRUCTORS BELOW:
Introducing Singh:
I have been teaching art for the past 26 years. I am passionate about art and believe that it is a valuable tool for personal expression, creativity, and problem-solving. I am also committed to providing all students with a challenging, yet fun, experience.
I started my teaching career in the Chicago Public Schools where I taught all grade levels. For the past 18 years I taught in Riverside at the Jr. High level; where I had the opportunity to teach a wider range of art classes, there I taught drawing, painting, printing, sculpture, and ceramics.
I realized early on how much I loved teaching art and helping students discover their own creativity. I believe that art is for everyone, and I am passionate about helping students discover their own artistic voice.
Introducing Jamie:
Art has been my passion since I was a kid. I have always loved artwork that you can pick up and hold in your hands. As a high school art teacher, ceramics is by far the BEST subject to teach. I love watching students grow as artists and create work that reflects their personality. Outside of clay, I like to create comic books, hike with my dog, and take road trips with my husband. I am excited to work with aspiring artists of all backgrounds at Bothwell Pottery!
Introducing Abby Troyer:
Abby is currently an art teacher at Cossitt Elementary in LaGrange Distict 102.
Thank you Greta for this amazing cicada!
About me
My passion for Pottery started in 2014. While I have created with clay since high school, throwing on the pottery wheel fascinated me. Bothwell Pottery has long been a dream of mine. Offering handbuilding and wheel classes to artists young and old. Outside of art, I love fishing, skiing and travelling.
