Met with developers bidding on Plan: Nubian Square parcels
Focused on working to ensure Plan: Nubian Square projects provide the following for Roxbury residents:
Living wages
Permanent jobs
Stable works shifts (if part-time jobs)
Access to health insurance
At least 51% of total employees on the Parcel, and each employer occupying the Parcel...
… shall be by bona fide Boston residents.
… be People of Color.
… shall be Women.
All employees should be paid a salary or hourly wage equal to or better than Boston’s Living Wage.
At least 75% of all employees on the Parcel, including all employees of each lessee, sub-lessee shall be Full Time, meaning at least 30 hours worked per week.
All employees shall have a stable work schedule, appropriate for the field of work, defined as a schedule that allows for an employee to plan for family care, educational and work obligations and does not include “on- call” time and this schedule cannot be changed more than twice a year.
All Full Time employees shall be offered the opportunity to opt-in to a Company Certified Health Insurance Plan.
The City’s GJS are not applicable to small businesses, defined by the City, as those with fewer than 15 employees or less than $2.5 million in annual revenue.

Mandate the Good Jobs Standards for all developers.
Tighten the small business exemption.
Fewer than 11 employees or less than $1 million in revenue.
Create accountability, monitoring and enforcement.
Develop infrastructure to monitor commitments and develop a process to enforce compliance if and when necessary.
Create a transparent community process.
Publicly post all PRC meeting dates with locations.
