Your privacy comes first

No account. No sign-in. No personal information is collected by Boscovs App from you as an app user.

Favourites you save, recently viewed items, and theme settings you manage are stored locally on your device. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

Boscovs App is built to help you browse a shopping catalogue and discover products across categories such as Fashion, Shoes, Beauty, Home & Kitchen, Furniture, Bedding, Jewelry, Electronics, Toys, and Seasonal Collections — including search, filters, favourites, deals, product details, and theme settings — with a smooth discovery experience. We designed this app so you can use these features without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:

• Your name

• Your phone number

• Your email address

• Your home or mailing address

• Your date of birth

• Government identifiers (National Insurance number, passport numbers, Social Security numbers, etc.)

• Photos, contacts, or camera data

• Precise GPS location

• Payment card numbers, banking credentials, or checkout identity data

No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use the app.

3. Information Stored On Your Device

To support your browsing experience, Boscovs App stores the following locally on your device only:

• Favourite / saved products (wishlist)

• Recently viewed products

• App settings (such as dark / light / system theme preference)

• Cached product images for faster offline viewing of previously loaded content

Sample catalogue content, deals, and product information shown in the app are packaged with the app or loaded as display content. Your favourites, recently viewed list, and preferences are not uploaded to our servers and are not linked to your identity as an app user. Data you manage in the app remains on your device — we do not receive it as personal user profile data.

4. Local, On-Device Processing

Boscovs App is designed for local processing. Core features — including Home, Categories, Favourites, Deals, Settings, product details, search, and filters — run on your device using locally managed state and preferences.

Your favourites, recently viewed items, and preferences are not sent to our servers for storage or processing. You can browse the sample catalogue experience without signing in.

An internet connection is needed for loading product and banner images from image content networks, displaying advertisements through Google AdMob (see Section 6), and if you choose to open external links such as support email, the Play Store listing, or help resources.

5. Data Display and Sharing

All products, prices, deals, and preference screens displayed in the app are read from on-device content and local app state. If you share a product or the app through your device’s standard share options, that sharing is handled by your device and the app you choose — we do not receive copies of shared content unless you explicitly send it to us (for example, by email).

You are responsible for keeping any exported or shared information secure.

6. Advertising

Boscovs App displays advertisements through Google AdMob to help keep the app free to use. Ad formats may include banner ads and full-screen interstitial ads shown when you navigate between sections.

Google and its advertising partners may collect and use information such as your device’s advertising ID, approximate location (derived from IP address), app interactions with ads, and technical device data to deliver, measure, and improve ads. This data is handled according to Google’s policies, not stored by us as a personal user profile.

You can limit ad personalisation on your device through: Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation

7. Third-Party Services

Core app features run on your device. The app does not send your favourites, recently viewed items, or preferences to external conversion or cloud account services.

Google AdMob is used to serve advertisements. Image content networks may be used to display product and banner photos. When you use optional actions such as sending email to support, sharing content, or opening a web link, those actions are handled by the respective platform or app you choose — not by Boscovs App collecting additional personal data from you.

8. Cookies and Tracking

The app itself does not use browser cookies. We do not operate our own analytics or cross-app tracking services within Boscovs App.

Advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) may use identifiers permitted by your device and Android settings to measure ad performance. We do not build personal profiles about you based on your in-app browsing activity beyond what is required for ad delivery through AdMob.

9. Network and Permissions

The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:

• Internet access — required for loading product images and displaying advertisements through Google AdMob

• Network state — used to check connectivity for image and ad loading

• Advertising ID — used by Google AdMob for ad delivery and measurement on supported devices

We do not request access to contacts, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, biometric authentication, or precise location. There is no sign-in or account permission prompt when you open the app.

Your locally stored favourites, recently viewed items, and preferences remain on your device during normal app use.

10. Data Security

Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials from you as an app user, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your favourites, recently viewed items, and preferences remain on your device unless you explicitly share content outside the app.

You can clear cached images from Settings → Clear Cache, and you can clear all locally stored app data at any time through your device settings.

11. Children’s Privacy

This app is intended as a shopping catalogue and product discovery guide. It is designed so that personal information is not required from children or adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Product names, prices, and deal wording in the sample catalogue are for demonstration and information within the app experience.

12. Your Choices and Rights

Because we do not collect identifying information about you as an app user, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:

Settings → Apps → Boscovs App → Storage → Clear storage

Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored favourites, recently viewed items, and app preferences from the app’s private storage area.

13. Catalogue Experience Disclaimer

Boscovs App provides a sample shopping catalogue and product discovery experience. Product names, prices, promotions, and deal information shown in the app may be illustrative placeholders for demonstration. The app does not process real payments, shopping carts, checkout, online ordering, or order tracking.

Boscovs App is an independent application experience for browsing and discovering product information. Always verify real-world product, pricing, and retailer information independently before purchasing elsewhere.

14. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
