Coach Reichenbecher (or Coach R) is excited to begin his second season as the Head Football Coach at Freehold Boro High School!

Before coming to Boro, Coach R served on the staff at Freehold Township in various posts, most notably as Defensive Coordinator. During his time at Township the Patriots experienced the most success in program history, including their only playoff victories.

Before Freehold Township, coach spent over a decade at his alma mater, Howell High School. While at Howell coach served as Head Coach for two seasons after years as an assistant coach. In addition to his head coaching experience, coach also served as both Offensive and Defensive  Coordinator at various points of his tenure. At Howell, Coach R helped install the record setting Air Raid offense that took the Shore Conference by storm. He also coordinated the defense during Howell High School's only state championship season in 2007.

While at Howell High School Coach R also took over the Boys Lacrosse program as it entered its first full varsity season in 2003. As the leader of the program from 2003 until 2012 coach helped grow it into a perennial top 10 Shore Conference team. He eventually became president of the Shore Conference Lacrosse Coaches Association.

Coach Reichenbecher played FCS level football at Boston University where he played CENTER under eventual Superbowl winning Patriots Offensive Line Coach Dave DeGuglielmo and eventual Grey Cup winning British Columbia Lions offensive line coach Dan Dorazio. His head coach at BU was current Wagner Head Coach Tom Masella. Coach also spent some time at Ivy League powerhouse University of Pennsylvania.

In high school, Coach R was a 3 year starter at offensive and defensive line at Howell High School, serving as a team captain his senior year and earning all-county, all-shore, and all-state honors. He was inducted into the Howell High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005.

Coach graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies Education in 2000, and has worked as a social studies teacher at Howell High School since 2001. He has taught AP US History II for his entire tenure. He also began teaching Dual Enrollment US History through Brookdale Community College in 2023 after earning his Masters in American History through Pace University and the Gilder Lehrman Institute in 2022. Coach R is a member of Freehold Boro High School's Social Studies Department where he will teach Brookdale Community College's Dual Enrollment American History Course, Advanced Placement US History II, and Academic US II.

Coach Reichenbecher has been married to his wife Sarah since 2004 after meeting each other in high school. Mrs. R is also a teacher in Freehold Regional, working as an English Teacher at Colts Neck and serving as President of Freehold Regional Education Association. Together they have three children. They have lived in Freehold Boro since 2022. Look for them at the next parade in town or while trick or treating on Halloween! Coach is a proud volunteer at Freehold Area Open Door, involved in the Freehold Challenger Program, and serves on Freehold Borough's RevNJ Committee.
