Born into Sinful Claws takes place in the Scottish Highlands, a vast and rugged landscape shaped by rolling moors, forests, winding rivers, and ancient hills. The land is wild and untamed, where wind sweeps endlessly across the heather and storms can roll in without warning.
The terrain is dramatic and varied. Wide moorlands covered in purple heather and coarse grasses stretch across the hills, offering little shelter but excellent sightlines. Ancient forests of pine, oak, and birch create darker territories where shadows linger beneath thick canopies. Rivers cut through valleys and glens, forming clear pools, rocky streams, and reed-filled banks.
Weather plays a huge role in daily life. The Highlands are known for strong winds, sudden rainstorms, rolling fog, and cold winters. Storms can make travel dangerous, while fog can hide both prey and predators. Cats living here must be adaptable and resilient. The environment feels old and sacred. The land carries the weight of history, and many cats believe the Highlands themselves are watched over by spiritual forces like Virtue and the ancestors of the Clans.
