I am a post-doc researcher at the Institute of Economic Studies, Charles University, and a research fellow at the Institute of Economic Research, Slovak Academy of Sciences. I serve as a Handling Editor at the Czech Journal of Economics and Finance.Â
My research interests are in macroeconomics and macro-finance. My research centers on international economics, with a particular focus on exchange rates, empirical monetary economics, financial stability, and income inequality. In my current research, I seek to advance the following three core research agendas. First, I examine the factors that explain heterogeneous monetary policy transmission. The second concerns the identification of the causal effect of the exchange rate and the effectiveness of using the exchange rate as a tool of monetary policy. Third, I aim to identify the consequences of income and wealth inequality, with a particular focus on financial fricctions.
I have published my research in several field journals including International Review of Economics and Finance, Economic Systems, Economic Modelling, and International Economics. I have been awarded research grants by institutions such as the National Bank of Slovakia, Charles University, and the Slovak Research and Development Agency.
