Borim Ryu received the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Biomedical engineering, college of medicine from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea in 2022. She received her M.S. degree degree in the Department of Biomedical engineering, college of medicine from Seoul National University in 2012.

She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Head of the Data Science Center at the Biomedical Research Institute of Seoul National University Hospital, Boramae Medical Center. From 2015 to 2021, she worked as a Senior Researcher and Researcher at the Digital Healthcare Research Center of Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. In 2022, she served as an Assistant Professor at Seoul National University Boramae Medical Center. She earned her Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor Jinwook Choi in the Medical Informatics Laboratory. Her research interests include AI in medicine, digital healthcare, OMOP CDM–based clinical research, and international standards in the biomedical domain.
