Don Plum
My name is Don Plum, Coach Don. This is my third year with Coach Brown and the Borah JV
team. Borah has become even a little more of a home for me as I now work and coach here. I
have been playing and coaching volleyball since the 1990s. Volleyball can help build skills
such as leadership, teamwork and communication. I hope to create a safe atmosphere
that teaches the team to respect the sport, each other and most importantly themselves.
Maddie McClain
Hi there! My name is Maddie and I am the assistant coach for Junior Varsity. Not only did I play volleyball through Borah, but I spent two years playing college at Blue Mountain Community College! I am currently studying at Glass Cockpit Aviation to work towards my career of becoming a pilot. When I am not in the gym, or flying a plane, you can find me traveling, hanging out with friends or family, or competing in the Highland Games!
Mandy Hamilton Roos
Coach Mandy fell in love with volleyball when she started playing in an old middle school gym at twelve years old. Now, forty years later, she still plays any chance she can get. Mandy has worked with teenagers as a teacher, volleyball coach, and mentor for over 25 years. She hopes to inspire the girls on the sophomore team to work hard, work together, sharpen their skills, and ultimately fall in love with this sport that brings a lifetime of fun and friendship.
