U.S.G.A. Rules will govern play, along with Club rules on score cards.
This scramble involves teams of four golfers, who we'll call Player A, Player B, Player C and Player D. (Note that scrambles can also have 2- or 3-person teams, but when it's called a Texas Scramble that implies 4-person teams, for reasons that will become clear.)
Each member of a scramble team plays his or her own golf ball throughout. But with each stroke played, the four team members compare results and select the one best shot. The other team members move their balls to that location, and the next stroke is played from there.
For example, all four golfers hit tee balls. Which of those shots is in the best position? Maybe Player C's ball is sitting pretty in the middle of the fairway, and long. So, the team selects that as its drive. Players A, B, and D pick up their balls and move them to the location of Player C's shot. Each team member then plays their second strokes from that location. This process continues until the ball is holed.
So, what's the difference between a scramble and a Texas Scramble? It's the driving requirement. In a Texas Scramble each team member must contribute at least four drives throughout the round.
What that means is that during the 18-hole round, the team must select at least four of Player A's drives as the team's drive, it must use at least four of Player B's drives as the team drive, and so on with Player C and Player D.
Men will play from White Tees and women will play from Red Tees.
Upon completion of Team Play, the designated scorer must turn in the official scorecard to the Scoring Table located in the cart Staging area / Proshop.

A shotgun start is a concept in which all the players in a tournament begin playing at the same time, but from a different place on the course.
Each player will start at a different hole when the tournament begins and the players will continue along the course in order from the hole where they began. For example, if a player begins at hole 15, they will then move to hole 16-18 and then continue to hole 1 and play through 14.
A shotgun start in golf is an incredibly efficient way to utilize the expansive grounds of a golf course. Having everyone play at the same time speeds up the tournament, keeps it from getting log jammed at a particularly difficult hole, and allows all the participants to celebrate together at a post-tournament party.
