Emma started line dancing in Gisborne, and when her whānau moved to Rotorua she was missing it so much that she decided to start her own line dancing group in the wool shed on her farm. The group quickly out grew the wool shed and found it's new home at the Kahukura Rugby and Sports Club.
Here at Boots n' All, we're an energetic, welcoming, line dancing community where there are no miss steps, only accidental solos!
If you have seen line dancing on your social media platforms and thought it looks like a bit of fun, come and give it a go at one of our classes! We are not professional dancers, just people who enjoy learning new steps and sharing them with others.
We don't have 'terms', 'intakes' or the need to sign up for set dates, you just turn up when you can and have a boogie while we walk and talk you through the steps along the way.
$5 per person, per session, and we have classes every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the Kahukura Sports Club, Rotorua.
Dress code: wear what ever you feel comfortable in! No need for cute outfits and boots (but once you are hooked you will want some!) sneakers and work out gear hits just fine.
Em still keeps in touch with her Gisborne line dancing roots, and we continue to gain sister clubs around the North Island who host events throughout the year. We all learn similar dances which means these events are a great excuses for weekends away to make new friends on different dance floors!
