On April 2, 2019, it was announced that the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on March 11, 2020.[1] In August 2021, co-producer Lena Waithe announced that the series would not return for a third season.[2]

On April 11, 2018, it was announced that BET had given a series order to the production for a first season consisting of ten episodes. A writer and producing team had yet to be determined but the series was expected be produced by Paramount Television.[3][21][22][23] On September 24, 2018, it was announced that Lena Waithe and Ben Cory Jones would write the series' pilot episode together and executive produce alongside Halle Berry and Rishi Rajani. Jones was also expected to serve as the showrunner for the series and Dime Davis was set to direct the pilot episode. Waithe's production company Hillman Grad Productions was also slated to be involved with the series.[24] On December 19, 2018, it was announced that the series would premiere on February 12, 2019.[25]

However, the decision Ari went with during the finale made sense for his character. I say this because the current season had already shared he was adamant about being the top because of wanting to be the masculine one when hooking up with another dude. So, it was less about his preference and more about wanting to grasp onto the conventional concept of masculinity.

DEADLINE: And finally, for the first season you used a lot of first-time TV directors. What made you want to use fresh talent and how was it like working with new artists behind the camera?

The Flash season 9 has cast a new version of the iconic DC villain Captain Boomerang. The Flash premiered on The CW in 2014 and has been a consistent hit for the network ever since. It now stands as the longest-running installment in the Arrowverse franchise. The Flash is currently in production on season 9, which will also be the last for the Grant Gustin-starring superhero series.

Throughout The Flash's nine-year run, many of the character's classic comics foes have been brought to life, including the Reverse-Flash, Captain Cold, and Gorilla Grodd. One of the most notable was Digger Harkness, aka Captain Boomerang, who was played by Spartacus star Nick E. Tarabay. Harkness was the primary villain in the first crossover episode between Arrow and The Flash. The character later reappeared in Arrow season 5, where he met his end. However, set photos for The Flash season 9 indicated Captain Boomerang might return somehow.

According to Deadline, The 100 star Richard Harmon has been cast as Captain Boomerang in a recurring role for season 9. Harmon will play the second incarnation of Captain Boomerang from the comics, Owen Mercer. The CW has confirmed that Owen is a post-"Crisis on Infinite Earths" version of Captain Boomerang. He'll first be introduced after he's been "released from Iron Heights with a chip on his shoulder and whose twinkle in his eye disguises a dangerous and violent threat to Central City."

The reveal that this version of Captain Boomerang exists following the events of "Crisis on Infinite Earths" follows a pattern utilized by the Arrowverse to use the event to revisit previous characters with a new spin. The most notable example on The Flash is Mirror Master, who was originally introduced in season 3 played by Grey Damon. Damon played the first comic book Mirror Master, Sam Scudder, as a villain of the week. Following "Crisis on Infinite Earths," the series introduced a gender-bent version of the Evan McCulloch character named Eva McCulloch, played by Efrat Dior, who was the primary villain in the second half of The Flash season 6 and the first few episodes of season 7.

Owen Mercer finally being introduced in The Flash season 9 also may hint at where the story is building. Owen Mercer's incarnation of Captain Boomerang was first introduced into DC Comics in 2004, created by Brad Meltzer and Rags Morales. In the comics, the character is the son of the original Captain Boomerang and Meloni Thawne, a descendant of Eobard Thawne, aka The Reverse-Flash. The Flash has featured The Reverse-Flash as Barry Allen's greatest enemy and explored his family tree with Eddie Thawne in season 1. With this connection to two Flash villains, the final season might be dealing with the concept of legacy and the impact Barry Allen and The Flash will leave behind, both in terms of the Arrowverse but also the impact the series has had on television.

Grant Gustin's The Flash is now entering its ninth and final season on the CW. That means it's been almost a decade since the series first introduced the famous speedster into the Arrowverse. In those many years, the hero has gone up against countless foes.

It's not yet known who the main villain of Grant Gustin's final season will be, but it's not likely to fall on Captain Boomerang; might feel a little too small time for it being the end of the show and all. As for who will get the coveted spot, it's hard to guess, mainly because The Flash has utilized most of the hero's rogues' gallery.

The Cowgirls are once again getting noticed in the league with a fifth-place ranking in the 2009-10 MWC Preseason Poll. Wyoming garnered 121 votes to finish in the middle of a tight pack, and is sandwiched between No. 4 New Mexico (168) and No. 6 BYU (109).

One setback came when junior guard Aubrey Vandiver took a redshirt year because of a long battle with mononucleosis and missed the entire season. The third-team All-MWC selection in 2007-08 averaged 10.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game while adding 66 assists and 42 steals as a sophomore.

Langford immediately proved to be an impact player, but she was later hampered by a lingering back injury as the season trudged on. She ended with an average of 10.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.

But as fast as she arrived on the map of the MWC, she was almost gone just as quick. Langford flew back to her home in Australia with doubts of ever playing basketball again because of her back problems. She took part in an offseason training regimen with the focus on her back, not to mention plenty of rest.

Brothers Sam and Dean Winchester become hunters of supernatural beings, ranging from demons to ghosts and gods. With 14 seasons and some of the 15th and final season available, this series will take considerable time to plow through.

IN the summer of 1968-69 a geological expedition from Victoria University of Wellington examined the Beacon supergroup over an area of 3,500 km2 between the Olympus and Boomerang ranges (Fig. 1). In this area the Beacon supergroup comprises as much as 2,300 m of flat-lying non-marine sediments from Devonian or older to Triassic in age. The season's work contributed to the regional geology in two ways: abundant Devonian freshwater fish remains were discovered and collected, thus extending the known geographic distribution and variety of the fossil assemblage; and a thin sequence of glacial beds of Late Palaeozoic age were found to be widespread throughout the area. Data from the measurement of thirty detailed stratigraphic sections have also led to considerable refinement of Beacon supergroup nomenclature (Table 1).

Abstract

Aerosol-cloud (AC) interactions remain uncharacterized due to difficulties in obtaining accurate aerosol and cloud observations. In this study, we quantified the aerosol indirect effects (AIE) on warm clouds over Eastern China based on near-simultaneous retrievals from MODIS/AQUA, CALIOP/CALIPSO, and CPR/CLOUDSAT between June 2006 and December 2010. The seasonality of aerosols from ground-based PM10 (aerosol particles with diameter of 10 mu M or less) significantly differed from that estimated using MODIS aerosol optical depth (AOD). This result was supported by the lower level frequency profile of aerosol occurrence from CALIOP, indicative of the significant role of CALIOP in the AC interaction. To focus on warm clouds, cloud layers with base (top) altitudes above 7 (10) km were excluded. The combination of CALIOP and CPR was applied to determine the exact position of warm clouds relative to aerosols out of the following six scenarios in terms of AC mixing states: 1) aerosol only (AO); 2) cloud only (CO); 3) single aerosol layer-single cloud layer (SASC); 4) single aerosol layer-double cloud layers (SADC); 5) double aerosol layers - single cloud layer (DASC); and 6) others. The cases with vertical distance between aerosol and cloud layer less (more) than 100 m (700 m) were marked mixed (separated), and the rest as uncertain. Results showed that only 8.95% (7.53%) belonged to the mixed (separated and uncertain) state among all of the collocated AC overlapping cases, including SASC, SADC, and DASC. Under mixed conditions, the cloud droplet effective radius (CDR) decreased with increasing AOD at moderate aerosol loading (AOD e24fc04721
