Books For Us Publishing™ is a Black woman-owned imprint with one clear mission: to amplify Black voices and celebrate our stories. From drama and young adult fiction, to romance, thriller, manga, and prayer journals, if it’s a story by a Black author, we want to publish it.
Our purpose is simple but powerful: to make Black stories seen, heard, and loved. We aim to reignite a love for reading within the Black community while helping Black authors bring their dreams to life. Whether it’s guiding a new writer to their first published book or supporting established authors on their path to best-selling success, we are here to make it happen.
At Books For Us Publishing™, we believe stories have the power to heal, inspire, and create legacy. Every book we publish is more than words on a page—it’s a piece of culture, identity, and history that deserves to be celebrated. Our goal is to create a space where Black authors don’t just get published—they shine.
“I created Books For Us Publishing™ because I wanted to build the space I always needed—a place where Black stories and author's aren’t just accepted, they’re celebrated.
Jessica created Books For Us Publishing™ because she wanted a space where Black stories aren’t just accepted—they’re celebrated. While her first book, Dear God, I’m Healing: A Soft Girl’s Prayer Journal, is faith-based, her mission goes beyond her own writing. Jessica’s passion is to see other Black authors succeed, thrive, and fall in love with the craft of storytelling.
A mother, writer, and visionary, Jessica believes books are sacred, healing is essential, and through publishing, Black voices can be amplified for generations. She envisions a world where every Black author has the tools, guidance, and platform to tell their story—and where readers can see themselves reflected in the pages they hold.
