Bookkeeping 101 is a study app that teaches the accounting cycle step by step, from analyzing transactions to reversing entries, with worked examples and practice problems. This page explains, plainly, what the app does and doesn't collect, and why.
1. Information we collect
The app does not require an account and does not directly collect your name, email address, or other personal identifiers. All lessons, images, and PDF examples are stored inside the app and work without an internet connection. The app relies on two third-party services, each collecting only what it needs to do its job:
Google AdMob — shows banner and interstitial ads inside the app. May collect your advertising ID and general device and usage data to select and measure ads.
OneSignal — delivers push notifications. May collect a device push token and general device data to route notifications to your device. Notifications are only shown if you allow them.
2. How information is used
Technical data collected by AdMob and OneSignal is used solely to display ads and deliver push notifications, governed by those providers' own privacy policies — we don't separately sell, combine, or repurpose it.

3. Sharing and external links
The "Share this app" option uses your device's share menu; nothing is sent unless you choose an app and share. "Rate this app" opens the Google Play Store, which is operated by Google under its own privacy policy.
4. Data retention & your choices
The app does not store personal data on your device or on our servers. You can limit ad personalization or reset your advertising ID from your device's Google settings (Settings → Google → Ads) at any time, and turn notifications on or off from your device's app settings. Uninstalling the app stops all data collection by the app.
5. Children
Bookkeeping 101 is written for students and professionals learning bookkeeping and is not directed at children.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update date at the top of this page will change accordingly. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the revised policy.
