Twisted Path

I was never supposed to be famous. I was just a girl who loved playing music and was fortunate enough to meet two other girls in college who also loved to play. And we played really well together.

Before we knew it, our free-spirited trio became Mad Wilma. And Mad Wilma became an accidental success story.

We had a record deal. We had a tour schedule. We had the world at our feet.

But a girl can only rock out with her tits out for so long before she has to hang up her drumsticks to keep from whacking her bandmates in the head with them. 

I'm done. Over it. Ready for an empty schedule. Solitude. And I've found the perfect place: a cabin on a lake in the middle of nowhere. 

Okay, it's not exactly as remote as I'd imagined. But my landlord's also a musician, so that's kind of cool. He's grumpy, though. A little uptight. Gets all gruff and growly when he’s agitated . . .

Maybe solitude is overrated?
