We will meet for three Wednesdays May 3rd, 10th & 17th  from 6:30-8:00 pm in the Paly Library instructional space (Room 541 on this map).  Our group will have the entire airy library at our disposal for our enjoyable discussions of this novel full of complex characters grappling with seemingly insurmountable problems: poverty, lack of employment and  educational opportunities, scarce medical care, family dysfunction, and opioid addiction.  Our narrator, Demon Copperhead  tells his story  with darkly comic wit, so there is plenty of laughter to balance the heartbreak.  

 My goal as the book club's facilitator is to provide structure and guidance.  We will teach each about about this book's ability to connect with our lives and our world.
