Economics

I worked in higher education for many years as a full-time academic economist.  I was an assistant professor at UMBC, 1999-2003; assistant and associate professor at SLU, 2003-2025I now work as an independent scholar.  Most of my research is in the field of public choice and involves thinking about exchange in the spheres of politics and civil society.  I hold a PhD in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
