My lips remember you as "to be continued"
My hands trace "to be determined"
My chest whispers "until then"
I’ve been hosting debates in my head,
Trying to map out a life where you’re a “ghost”,
But my thoughts keep hitting “redial,”
Mama yangu ndiye mwanamke pekee anayenipenda bure,
Nilishawahi kumpenda msichana nilipokosa hela ya kusuka akanitupa kule
Ketini mkao wa hija, tumuaibishe shetani..
Tufanye kazi kwa bidii kama twadaiwa songesha,
Bidii ya kazi tuzidi nogesha.

Love is not a bull fight, so let go of the red flags.
Some days loneliness may feel too bitter, darkness becomes the only symphony to your ears.
On those days, the calm days but null days,
I want you to look at a life you lived, the battles you fought alone,
On such cold nights, your happiest memories should be your victory.
Mama ukaendeleza,toka chato hadi paje,
Jirani wakakubeza,eti malezi yapoje.
I want to die with no regrets,
Of what i didn't accomplish while alive.
