About Us

Band Information

Bon-Accord Silver Band has two brass bands - the Bon-Accord Silver Band and the Bon-Accord Silver 'B' Band. Both bands are based in Aberdeen city and rehearse on a regular occasion in our purpose-designed band room. We play in concerts and contests all around the United Kingdom and in Europe.

Rehearsals

Our rehearsal venue is located off the lane down to the Social Work Department on Faulds Row.

We welcome any new brass and percussion players to join us in our rehearsals.

The Silver Band rehearses 20:00-21:45 on Mondays and Wednesdays

The "B" Band rehearses 19:30-21:30 on Tuesdays 

Vacancies - Bon-Accord Silver Band

Bon-Accord Silver Band compete in the Scottish Championship Section. We regularly play in test-piece and entertainment contests and perform in concerts throughout the country. We often travel all over the UK and Europe and record CD's among many other activities. We welcome any brass or percussion players to come along and join us in our rehearsals. We rehearse twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 20:00 - 21:45 and would suggest that a player should be at least grade 7 in order to enjoy the music we play.

Bon-Accord Silver 'B' Band compete in the Scottish Fourth Section. We regularly play in test-piece and entertainment contests and perform in concerts throughout the North-East of Scotland. We welcome any brass or percussion players to come along and join us in our rehearsals. 

We rehearse once a week on Tuesdays from 19:30 - 21:30 and would suggest that a player should be at least grade 3 in order to enjoy the music we play.

• Cornet

• Euphonium

• Eb Bass

• Bb Bass
