Library Upgrade

The first phase of the library upgrade has begun. We now have a modern seating arrangement in the teaching and learning area. The Senior zone also has some new white tables and cafe style couches. The staff and students are loving the new furnishings. I would like to thank S Cunninghame and all of the P&C, G and J O'Brien, Mr Morris and Anne Sudmalis who generously donated the cost via a grant. It looks fantastic!

More library upgrades will commence over the next few months so watch this space!

POP FEST

Our second annual Pop Culture event will be on Friday 30 August. The day is our way of celebrating Book Week which has a theme of "Reading is my Secret Power". All staff and students are encouraged to wear a costume that represents a "SECRET POWER." They can be a super hero, movie star, TV icon or any other pop culture personality. The day will involve a red carpet entry, snacks, judging competition, green screen and prizes.

During the same week we also have pop culture events such as Pop Culture Trivia on Tuesday (27 Aug) and a library treasure hunt on Wednesday (28 August). More details will be available in the coming weeks - but start thinking about your character and get those costumes ready!

M.S Readathon

Bomaderry High have a page set up for this years MS Readathon. Anyone can donate via the site. Our goal is to reach $250 to help those with multiple sclerosis. May I encourage you to read a book during August, donate some money and add the book to our dedicated webpage:

https://www.msreadathon.org.au/fundraiser/BomaderryHigh

Funds raised from the MS Readathon will help children attend special MS Family Camps. These camps help families living with multiple sclerosis to spend quality time together, learn more about multiple sclerosis and bond with others who are sharing their journey.

Thank you.

I look forward to seeing you in the library.
