Zone Athletics Carnival

On Friday the 1st of June, Bomaderry High School students travelled across the bridge to Shoalhaven High to compete in the Zone Athletics Carnival. All of the competitors proudly represented our school and tried their best on a day when weather conditions were less than ideal, with cold temperatures and gusty winds. Many students achieved outstanding results and will be going on to represent the Shoalhaven Zone at Canberra on Friday the 3rd of August. These competitor’s names will be announced in the coming days. Thank you to all of the Teachers who accompanied students to the carnival, Mr Arthur (announcer), Mrs Rogers (recorder), Ms Dempsey (team manager), Mrs Bennett (discus) and Ms Halliday (high jump). Thank you also to the students who assisted with jobs on the day, especially Trinity T and Gignesh R of Year 8. Trinity T volunteered her photography skills, snapping some action packed photos, and Gignesh R worked tirelessly assisting Mrs Bennett at discus. We wish the students selected to compete at the next stage the best of luck!

NSW ALL SCHOOLS Cross Country

On the first Friday of next term Jade M, Ky S and Brendan L will be travelling to Eastern Creek to represent the South Coast at the NSW All Schools Cross Country. Well done on this outstanding achievement and good luck!

From The PE Staff,

Just a reminder to parents that at this time of the year we seem to have a lot of students who during PE take off their jumpers or jackets in the lesson. At the end of the lesson, we find clothing left in the gym or change room with no way of identifying the owner. Even when we ask students to collect left over uniforms we only get the odd student who seem to remember not having the item of clothing and claiming their property.

If parents could ensure that their child's name is labelled on their PE gear and school jumpers it would assist us to return the lost property to the rightful owner.

Thank You

Mr Arthur
