WELCOME TO THE CURRICULUM COMMITTEE!

The BOLLI Curriculum Committee is a volunteer group of BOLLI members responsible for assembling a robust program of courses for each Spring and Fall term. We strive to have a varied set of exciting courses that are of value to the BOLLI membership.  The Curriculum Committee is then responsible for creating a course catalogue that presents these courses  to prospective students in an accurate and engaging manner.

BOLLI depends upon volunteer Study Group Leaders (SGLs) from its membership as well as outside educators to make its program successful.  The Curriculum Committee is here to assist prospective BOLLI SGLs with the proposal process — from the initial proposed course through final acceptance and publication in the BOLLI course catalog.

This site is designed to help anyone considering or just curious about becoming a BOLLI SGL for the first time.  It provides information to SGLs on the proposal submission process, including tips on: filling out the proposal form, what constitutes a good proposal, writing an engaging course description and submitting the completed form.

Anyone who has not previously been a BOLLI SGL must be interviewed by the Committee chair or co-chair before submitting a proposal.  Our committee is also available to discuss anything about becoming an SGL or about a course idea.   A Liaison from our committee will then be assigned to the SGL to answer any questions, and assist in developing a course idea and completing the proposal process.
