BOH Plantations Sdn Bhd is the largest black tea manufacturer in Malaysia, with both domestic and international distribution owned by BOH Plantations Sdn Bhd. The BOH Tea Plantation, which is located in Cameron Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia, is also the largest tea plantation in Malaysia. The name BOH was derived from “Bohea”, the hills in Fujian Province also called Wuyi Hills, where tea was originally thought to have been discovered by Emperor Shennong. Bohea was also the name of a premium tea grade in the early China tea trade. Boh means precious happiness in mandarin.
Black tea is also referred to as Ceylon or English Tea. BOH is best known for producing black tea in Malaysia since we were first established in 1929. Among our most loved black teas include BOH Cameronian Gold Blend, our Garden Tea range, and of course, our BOH Cameron Highlands Tea Leaves. Other than black tea, we also produce other types of tea such as green tea and flavoured tea.
BOH tea products are certified Halal (suitable for consumption by Muslims) by the religious authorities in Malaysia. This gives consumers of the Islamic faith across the globe the peace of mind to enjoy BOH products.
