About Me

All About Mrs. Bohnsack

My name is Jennifer Bohnsack and I have been a teacher for nearly 22 years. This is my first year at Aspen View Academy and I could not be more excited to be apart of this amazing community! Previously, I have taught middle school and high school science all over the Denver metro area including Cherry Creek School District, Littleton Public School, Douglas County School District, as well as several private Catholic schools, including Mullen High School and St. Thomas More.

Middle school is a very exciting time in your student's life and I am excited to help foster a love of learning and help them grow. As an educator, I believe students learn best through an innovative, engaging, and hands-on approach to learning. In my classroom, I utilize a wide range of instructional strategies and practices ranging from inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, interactive labs, experiential learning, and guest speakers to bring content curriculum to life for my students. As a teacher, I have also had the opportunity to develop curriculum for a number of courses including Biology, Physical Science, Forensics, and Comparative Anatomy to ensure that these programs were rigorous and engaging. I value the importance of teaching the whole child through character development, social emotional learning, and modeling to prepare well-rounded, compassionate, and competent individuals who are ready to take on the challenges of our world and make a difference.

Outside of the classroom, I am lucky to have three grown children- two daughters and one son. I do not have grandchildren yet, but I do have four furry granddogs! I enjoy spending time outdoors in beautiful Colorado- I grew up in the mountains and love to visit every chance I get. In my freetime, I like to read, cook, bake, and spend time with my children and family.

I am excited for the school year ahead and I can't wait to meet you!
